Requires the purchase of the KR Jack row counter for the SK155 (see below)

Stop trying to get the gauge of a pattern. With the Knit Radar, you tell the device what YOUR guage is.

This charting device allows you to draw your garment shape. Select the ruler gauged to your stitches per inch, set the row setting to your rows per inch, and let the Knit Radar guide you through the complex curves of your garment piece. No more math!

By simply changing the gauge settings, you can knit this same garment over and over with a variety of yarns and stitch styles.

DVD: (Introduction to) Punch Card Machine Knitting

Below are some extra photos I took of this machine, with close-ups of the tension mast and the claw weights.

I have left the pictures a little larger so you can see the detail.  Feel free to to stop the loading if you are not interested in the close-ups of the machine.

a general view.
I have a two color (fair isle) sample hanging on the machine.  What you see is the purl side of the fabric and in fair isle, it is the knit side that shows the design.  So, this is the back side.

This close-up shows the 2 standard claw weights (the smaller ones on each side) and the larger claw weight in the middle.  The SK155 knitting machine come with 2 standard claw weights and 3 large weights.

More detail of the tension pole.  This picture shows two yarns (one white, one multi-color) loaded into the tension mast and into feeders A & B in the carriage. The SK155 will knit 2 colors automatically due to the punch card mechanism selecting the specific needles necessary, according to the punch card, for each yarn.  One pass knits both colors in that row.
