Silver Reed LK150 Mid-gauge Knitting Machine.

The Silver Reed Model LK150, for its simplicity in design and ease of use, will assure you fun and pleasure in your knitting.  You will soon be able to make knitwear with all sorts of interesting patterns for sizes up to the full width of 150 needles, and because it handles a wide range of yarns from Sport (US Needle #4) through worsted weight yarns (US #9) and some heavier, you can make knitwear for the full four seasons of the year.  It is extremely light weight and compact making it easy to carry and easy to store. Its specially designed roller-capped latch needle ensures smooth and quiet operation.

The carriage rests make the needle bed longer.  Use them when knitting over more than 100 needles.

A helpful hint to save you some grief: We have had some problems with dime store/discount worsted weight yarns on this machine. If you plan on using alot of low quality worsted weight yarns, I highly recommend the SK155 machine. These yarns are less pliable than the quality yarns, thus cause greater stress on the carriages. The SK155 is a heavy duty machine, much more suitable for discount afghan yarns, than the LK150.

Electronic Knit Radar (Contour) KR11

The Knit Contour takes all the hard work out of counting stitches when you are shaping a garment -- it virtually does it all for you!  What's more, you can choose either a 1/2 scale pattern or a 1/4 scale pattern. The KR10 comes with 4 different styles of knitting patterns.

The Knit Radar will fit all Silver Reed knitting machines that have the jack on the row counter. The punch card machines do not have this type of row counter, but you can purchase this row counter to put on them.

Intarsia Carriage

This useful accessory  helps you to machine knit all sorts of exciting designs with ease.  It is ideally suited to producing fashionable intarsia knitting patterns without floating yarns on the back of your knitting.

FC6 Fair Isle Carriage

Now you can knit 2 colors in every row with this accessory.  Simply pull theneedles which need the 2nd color into pattern position and knit one row with the carriage.  Needles in B knit with color 1, needles in D knit with color 2, all with a single pass.  Carriage has side levers and russel levers similar to larger metal bed machines. Carriage also does tuck, slip and single motif stitches.  (graphic at right is the LK150 regular carriage and the FC6 fairisle carriage. )

Comb normally consists of 3 lengths, which can be joined together with joiners. LK150 comes with 3 lengths and 2 joiners, to cover full bed of 150 needles.

Knitting Machine Stand

28" tall. Cross bar is 42" wide. A-Frame traditional stand for all knitting machines. Easy to assembly, and stores away in 5 main pieces that take up very little space.

Replacement Row Counter

This is the row counter that comes with the machine. It has a jack on it to accept the cord from the KR11 Knit Contour.

Note: The plastic caps on the LK100, 140 & 150 needle butts consist of 2 parts. The tube is called the roller, and the stopper/cap is pushed into from the top. So if you are ordering the complete plastic piece for the needle butts, be aware that you need to order both the stopper and the roller. Sometimes the roller get damaged, but often the stoppers are salvageable.
