Fiber Trends Bathing Beauties

Simple lace patterns are used to create these lovely washcloth and soap sack sets. The soap sacks are knit in the round and hug soaps of various sizes. They can be tied with a twisted cord or satin ribbon.

Approximate finished sizes: Soap Sacks, folded: 3"x5" (8x13cm). Old Shale Lace washcloth: 9" (23cm) in diameter. Ribbon Lace & Leaf Lace washcloths: 7"x10" (18x25cm).

Yarn: Approx. 125y (114 meters) of fingering weight for each set

Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) for all pieces. Ribbon Lace and Leaf Lace washcloths use straight needles. Old Shale washcloth requires a set of double pointed needles and a 16" (40cm) circular needle. Soap Sacks require double pointed needles or use a 32" or 40" (80 or 100 cm) circular and the Magic Loop method.

Other Supplies: Crochet hook US E (3.5mm); 2 stitch markers; 1 saftey pin or split ring marker.

Gauge: 24 sts = 4" (10cm) in stockinette stitch.
