Knitting Machine Christmas Patterns and Designs

Christmas Crafts from Eileen Montgomery

This book will help create new decorations for your home, gifts or craft sales. There are more than 20 items to decorate your home and tree with the holiday spirit. Knit tree skirts, tree ornaments and toppers, table decorations, gift bags and more. Just use your leftovers and imagination to create wonderful decorations or gifts.
These patterns were written for 4-ply fingering weight yarns (not worsted weight), such as Yeoman Cashmilon and Bramwell 4-py, on Japanese and Chinese standard gauge punchcard or electronic machines. But some are written for the mid-gauge machines as well. This 28-page book has a color cover and spiral binding with detailed instructions and design charts.

Santa's Stocking Workshop from Eileen Montgomery

This 30-page book has a color cover and spiral binding with detailed instructions, charts and diagrams. Stockings made with five different construction methods for both single and double beds.

  • The Flat Stocking

  • The Cut & Sew Stocking

  • The Stocking knit from the Foot Up

  • The Stocking knit from the Cuff Down

  • The Circular Stocking

Although these patterns were written for 4-ply fingering weight yarns (not worsted), such as Yeoman Cashmilon and Bramwell 4-py, on Japanese and Chinese standard gauge punchcard or electronic machines, they can be easily adapted for use on mid-gauge or bulky machines.

One of my first learning projects were Christmas Stockings.  They were out of a pattern book long out of print.  It was wonderful to see that Eileen included my favorite in her book.  The Stocking knit from the Cuff Down is my favorite, although Eileen's favorite is the Stocking knit from the Foot Up!

A Special Angel for your Tree-top or Table Center

For any standard gauge machine, with basic step by step techniques. Using an Ivory Liquid-type container, Sandy instructs you to knit this angelic ensemble. Which can then be removed and washed if necessary. Pattern requires a lace carriage, although the lace transfers can be done by hand.
