A Trio of Scarves: Twin Rib Scarf, Super EZ Mobius and EZ Capelet3 easy, beginner level scarves that use only 2 balls each of Madil Kid Seta (or Douceur et Soie or Kid Haze). The EZ Capelet has an optional scallop edging which requires 1 extra ball. ![]() Contrary to styles, these scarves are classics and will never go out of style. The Twin Rib is perfect for the professional and looks good under a hood and lapel. The mobius is always popular and looks good up or down. This mobius is even large enough to be pulled down and worn across the upper bust line. The capelet is just adorable. It is open in front and has a sweetheart neckline that just begs for that antique pin. Twin Rib uses a US#10.5 needle, but can be done easily in a US#11. The Super EZ Mobius uses a US#11 needle straight or circular needle. The EZ Capelet uses a US#11 needle, 32" or longer. I did mine on a 60" so I could see it opened out. |

A rectangular cover-up is called a dupatta or chunni and is used all over northern India. Finished chest measurements: 34.5, 38.5, 42.75, 46.75 and 50.75. US#6 24" circular and double point needles. US#4 24" circular. Shawl is approx 30" x 72" after blocking. Materials: Top 7, 7, 8, 9, 11 hanks in Swirl DK (model was done in Aqua). Alexis Shrug from Lorna's LacesShort and sweet, shrugs are the perfect summer (or year 'round) alternative to a sweater or shawl. Two pieces combine for quick knitting. Knitting Pure and Simple #246 Women's Poncho.An easy to knit poncho, knitted from the top down in bulky weight yarn at 3 1/2 to the inch. Can be made without the hood and fringe, also. 3 sizes. We are knitting it with Shepherd Bulky from Lorna's Laces in NS Charcoal, and have added a strand of Knit One Crochet too Douceur et Soie. Douceur et Soie makes just a tiny touch of a halo with its kid mohair & silk blend. Muench's Tessin Yarn and Lorna's Laces Shepherd Bulky Yarn both knit beautifully at 3.5 sts per inch on my #10 knitting needles! Stayed tuned.
