Oat Couture Entrelac Bag #AC301

Shaped purse featuring the entrelac technique in seed and garter stitch; buttoned closing flap.

Knit in worsted or chunky weight in 2 sizes: Small,about 12" wide, 8" high, 2" deep; Large, about 18" wide, 14" high, 3" deep.

For Small Purse (not pictured): 175 yds of a multi-colored worsted weight wool, and 285 yards of a tweed worsted weight wool. US#6 and 7 needles, Crochet hook size G, 1 button. Approx gauge is 5 sts per inch, but exact gauge is not critical.

For Large Purse: 240 yds of a multi-colored worsted weight wool, and 350 yards of a tweed worsted weight wool. US#10 and 10.5, Crochet hook size I, 1 button. Approx gauge is 3.5 sts per inch, but exact gauge is not critical.

These useful and fun bags are a good introduction to side-ways short row technique. Knit with multiple strands of dk and worsted. Purse is 10x16"; bag is 18x24".

Materials for purse: 240 yards of textured DK weight yarn, and 300 yds of variegated light worsed yarn. Needles US#5 and 9. 1 button.

Materials for bag: 350 yards of textured DK weight yarn, and 435 yds of variegated light worsed yarn, and 515 yds of light worsted yarn. Needles US#8 and 11. 1 button.

Gauge is approx 3.75 sts per inch for the purse and 3 sts per inch for the bag.
