One Skein: 30 quick projects to knit and crochet.

I usually turn up my nose at books that claim to have one-skein projects. But this book is different. Really ! There is nothing tacky about these projects.

Most of the projects are knit, but there are a few crochet. They use very good quality yarn, therefore the end results are priceless.

This easy pattern is a variation of the Veined Leaf Panel from Barbara Walker's 2nd Treasury of Knitting Patterns. A bulky weight yarn, such as Lorna's Laces Shepherd Bulky or Swirl Chunky will knit this up fast and makes the coziest throw to snuggle under.

Size is approx 50x60 inches. 1400 yds of bulky weight yarn. US#11, 29" or larger circular needles (to accomodate all the stitches). Markers would be helpful.

Looks like a simple but fun project. I'm tempted myself!!

Blocked afghan 46x56 inches; Blocked Throw 42x52 inches.

Pattern says to choose a soft worsted weight. I recommend Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted.

Supplies: Afghan 1600 yards. Throw 1350 yards. US#10 needles. Coilless safety pin or split ring marker.
