Cotton Supreme Sequins Shawl, Tunic & Tam Projects #PC551

Patterns were written for Cotton Supreme Sequins , but you can also use Cotton Supreme and Cotton Supreme Batik.

Tam uses 1 skein of Cotton Supreme Sequins. US#7 and US#5 double pointed needles.

Shawl uses 2 skeins of Cotton Supreme Sequins. US#7 36" (or close to) circular needle.

Tunic finished measurements are 33.75, 37.5, 41.5, 45, 49, 52.75, 556.5, 60.25, 64".
Uses 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9 hanks.
US#7 32" (or close to) and US#6 24" (or close to) circular needles.

  


Chemo Caps for My Sister #119

from Knitting Pure and Simple

  

A group of fast to knit hats, with shaping to flatter and comfort women who have hair loss from chemotherapy. They do look good on women with hair also! Bulky and worsted yarns.

Sizes: One size fits most women. Finished circumference 20".

Cap 1 & 2: Worsted weight yarns. Cap 3 & 4: Bulky Weight yarns.

Oat Couture AC314 Knit Turban #AC314

Finished measurements are 18, 20 or 22". 20" fits average adult woman. Headband has a lot of stretch.

Fingering weight version:
375 (458, 570) fingering weight yarn. Suggestions for Fingering weight yarn can be found on my yarn standards page, but the Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock is very soft and would be fun to knit. If you like graduated color changes, I'd suggest Peom Sock which is what the one in the photograph is done in.
36" circular needle US#4 and 1 yard clear sewable elastic.

DK weight version:
330 (420, 495) yds DK weight yarn. Suggestions for DK weight yarn can be found on my yarn standards page, but this would be awesome in Lorna's Laces Honor!

Materials: Lt worsted or DK yarn to knit to 5 sts per inch. Beret requires 150, 175, 200 yds. Scarf requires 170 yds. Needles for beret 16" #5 and 7, and a double pointed set in #7. For scarf US#10 straight needles.

Fiber Trends Pinwheels Berets and Toques by Lily Chin #LC-101.

Sizes: One size fits average adult head. Adjustments can be made. Beret top is about 11" in diameter and toque is about 9".

Materials: Bulky or Chunky yarn that will knit to 3.5 sts per inch. Beret and toque each require about 140 yds. A striped hat will required from 80 to 100 yds of main color andd 40 to 60 yards of contrast color. Size 7 and 9 16" circular needles. Stitch Markers.

This pretty set uses the feather and fan stitch to great advantage. Knit in worsted weight. Beret is about 22" at headband; scarf is about 7"x50".

Materials: 200 yds (for the beret). 250 yds (for the scarf) of worsted weight yarn. May I recommend Lorna Laces Shepherd Worsted ( a wonderfully soft, washable wool) Needles 16" circular in US#5 & 8, and double pointed needles US#8.

Gauge: 4.5 sts per inch

Nehalem Hat pattern

Oat Couture Nehalem Hats #AC308.

  

This is a very flattering hat. Choose either a diagonal knit/purl pattern or bold cable for your band; pick up and knit around, embellish with a beaded 'tassel' when you're done. Knit in dk or heavy worsted weight. 18" (20", 22") circumference at headband.

Materials for DK weight hat. 245, 315, 350 yds dk weight yarn, US#5 needles, 16" circular US#6, doubled pointed US#6, 4 markers of one color, a 5th marker of a contrast color, cable needle.

Gauge is approx 5.5 sts per inch.

Materials for heavy worsted weight hat. 175, 215, 235 yds of heavy worsted yarn, US#8 needles, 16" circular US#9, doubled pointed US#9, 4 markers of one color, a 5th marker of a contrast color, cable needle.
