This pretty set uses the feather and fan stitch to great advantage. Knit in worsted weight. Beret is about 22" at headband; scarf is about 7"x50".

Materials: 200 yds (for the beret). 250 yds (for the scarf) of worsted weight yarn. May I recommend Lorna Laces Shepherd Worsted ( a wonderfully soft, washable wool) Needles 16" circular in US#5 & 8, and double pointed needles US#8.

Mittens in Worsted weight yarn: approx 95,  115, 140, 165, 190 yds. Size US#5 and US#7 double pointed knitting needles. gauge of 20 sts to 4" over stockinet.

Mittens in Bulky weight yarn: approx 70, 90, 115, 145, 180 yds. Size US#7 and US#9 double pointed knitting needles. gauge of 15 sts to 4" over stockinet.

Oat Couture Nehalem Hats #AC308.

This is a very flattering hat. Choose either a diagonal knit/purl pattern or bold cable for your band; pick up and knit around, embellish with a beaded 'tassel' when you're done. Knit in dk or heavy worsted weight. 18" (20", 22") circumference at headband.
