Knitted Felting patterns and books. Patterns and How To Instructions.

Felting covers the uneven knitting of new knitters. It is for this reason that felted projects, particularly knit felt bags are a great introduction to knitting. It may look complicated, but do not let it intimidate you. You do need to know how to cast on and how to do a knit stitch. The knit felt patterns below do not show you how to knit, so refer to one of our " How to Knit " books on our Knitting Techniques page at http://www.yarn-store.com/knitting-technique-books.htm Other then that, these knit projects are perfect confidence builders.

Do not use super wash wools, cottons, rayons or silks, and do not use any synthetics. These have been coated to be washable without shrinking. Some bleached white wools do not felt and some off white and lighter colors do not felt well. Unless they say unbleached on them. It is always best to knit up and test a small piece.

I use Cascade 220 100% Wool. Very well known for its excellent felting qualitie and extreme range of colors. Used by designers!
