Fiber Trends Baby Poncho #CH10

This warm baby wrap will fit a child from about 6 months to 3 or 4 years old.  Uses Worsted Weight yarn.  I recommend Lorna's Shepherd Worsted. 

1 skein each of color A (center panel)
1 skein of color C (vertical panels)
2 skeins of color B (hood)
2 skeins of  color D (side panels).
or
2 skeins in a multi-color (like Child's Play) (center panel & side panels)
1 skein for color B (hood & a few rounds of edging)
1 skein for color C (vertical panels & remainder of edging).

Fiber Trends Valerie Child's Poncho #CH-43x.

A child's poncho fashioned after Fiber Trends popular baby poncho. Made with or without a hood in worsted weight yarn, such as Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted.

Sizes: 4/6 (8/10, 12/14)

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn (we recommend Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted or Lion and Lamb). Poncho with hood 450 (600, 725) yards of color A, 400 (450, 500) yds of color B and 120 (140, 160) yards of Color C. For Poncho with out hood, change Color B to 300 (350, 400) yds. US #7, 29 inch circular needles (for body) and a 36 or 40inch (for border).

Gauge: 4.5 sts per inch

Simple Sacques for baby (#BB209), from Oat Couture

These darling, easy to knit sacques have garter stitch yokes and feature one-piece construction - you begin at the bottom back, shape at the neck, and continue down each front to bind-off. The sleeves are picked up at the armhole edge. Worked in basketweave or berry stitch. Knit in dk weight.

Sizes 6, 12, 18 months.

Materials: 400 yds (for the blue) or 425 yds (for the pink) of DK weight yarn. Needles US#4 & 8. 4 buttons. 1 stitch holder.

Gauge: 5.5 sts per inch

from Angelika's Tyler's Poncho: a poncho for children.

This pattern is perfect for beginner knitters. It is designed to take little or no concentration during the knitting of the panels. If the gauge is a little off, the design is such that it makes little difference, if the poncho is a little bigger or smaller. But best to be on the bigger side. Poncho can be done in a single color (try multi colored yarns, 2 colors or 4 colors.)

Sizes: 4 sizes ranging from 4 yrs to 10 years.

Yarn: Bulky weight yarn that gets approx 3.5 sts per inch. 2-color (red & yellow) model was done in Muench's Tessin Yarn. This is the largest size and took 3 balls each of 2 different colors for a total of 6 balls in Tessin Yarn. Multi color model is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Bulky in color Wisteria. This is the smallest size. This size took 3 hanks of Shepherd Bulky Yarn. Gauge is 3.5 sts per inch.

Materials: 350 (450, 550, 660) yds of bulky weight yarn. US#10 needle.

Pattern includes tips and ideas because it is hard for me to stop chatting once I get start! Small size shows plain neckline, while larger size has a retro-60s-look neckline.
