Lorna's Laces Simplest Sweater for Baby

This little cutey is a great project for gift giving. Pattern includes both knit version and crochet version, and is done in one piece.

Sizes: newborn (18" chest measurement) and 6 month (22" chest measurement.

Materials: 2 (3) skeins of Lorna's Laces Swirl DK, 1/2" button or 1/2 yd of 1" ribbon. US#4 straight needles. Or Size G hook for crochet version.

Gauge: Knit gauge is 5.5 sts per inch. Crochet guage is 4.5 single crochets per inch.

Sizes: Crocheted Old Shale Blanket 33x39",  Lacy Bordered Blanket 35x35", or Striped Crochet Blanket 35x35".

Any worsted weight that will give you 18sts to 4 inches.  May I recommend Lorna's Laces washable shepherd wool in the Layette Color !

Crocheted Old Shale Blanket approx 1000 yds. Lacy Bordered Blanket approx 950 yds. or Striped Crochet Blanket approx 600yds of Color A (white) and 430 yds of Color B (aqua in photo). Split ring markers. Crochet Hook Size J for all, plus crochet hook size I for border.
