Carol Bristol Designs: The Hearth Felted Bowl

Carol uses Cascade 220 in many of her patterns. Very well known for its excellent felting qualities and extreme range of colors.

The Hearth Felted Bowl

2 bags to knit and felt.

Banish that stash! The Striped Hearth Bowl was knit with a combination of worsted weight yarns. These decorative storage bowls knit up surprisingly fast with size 15 circular needles and with 3 strands of worsted weight yarn held together. 765 yards required. The pattern includes detailed information for successful felting of the slip stitch pattern and shaping tips. Large & sturdy felted bowls, 8" tall, approx 44" circumference with a 10" diameter opening.

Materials: Striped Bowl requires 765 yds (4 hanks) in a mixture of colors and Slip Stitch Accent Bowl requires 600 yds (3 hanks) of feltable worsted wool such as Cascade 220 and 165 yds of contrast color in solids and heathers or hand dyed paints.

Tools: All bowls use a US#15 (10mm) circular needle. Stitch markers (4 with one being unique), tapestry needle.

Gauge: 2.5 sts per inch.
