The Essex Tote

A very roomy handbag with an interior cell phone pocket. Leather strapping or suede strips are laced through the knitted eyelets to cinch in the sides and embellish the tote. Purse feet protect the base. Beads or charms add style to the lacing! 9 1/2" tall, 5" wide, and 11" long. The tote is finished quickly allowing you to spend time selecting your handle & lacing materials! Note: 3 - 36" lengths of 1/8" wide suede lacing strips where used for the Essex Tote-Striped Version and Turquoise Essex Tote.

The tote is knit from the base up with either one strand of bulky or 2 strands of worsted weight yarn.

Materials: Worsted weight feltable wool. Cascade Pastaza or Cascade 220. 420 yds main color and 160 yards contrast color (inside pocket and base, which may not be visible in picture). Striped Tote needs 400 yds main color and 60 yards each of 2 contrast colors and an additional 30 yards of a 3rd contrast color.
